Role Purpose:
The Senior Manager will oversee end-to-end delivery of Finance & Accounting (F&A) operations for Brazil, managing a team of approximately 30 FTEs. This role focuses on ensuring operational excellence across, Collection (I2C) and HR, maintaining compliance, driving continuous improvement, and achieving stakeholder satisfaction.
This role is pivotal in driving operational efficiency and excellence while fostering a high-performance culture within the Brazil F&A operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Excellence: Manage daily service delivery, ensuring adherence to SLAs/KPIs and promptly addressing operational challenges.
2. Governance: Conduct regular governance meetings with stakeholders, providing transparent reporting and addressing escalations effectively.
3. Team Leadership: Develop and mentor team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
4. Compliance and Risk Management: Uphold robust controls, ensuring audit readiness and compliance with internal and statutory requirements.
5. Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements leveraging Lean methodologies and digital tools.
Key qualifications:
• Extensive experience in F&A operations leadership, particularly in Collection.
• Proven track record of managing teams in a shared services or outsourcing environment.
• Proficiency in Oracle JDE ERP systems and familiarity with automation tools.
• Fluency in Portuguese and strong proficiency in English for stakeholder communication.
• Experience in shared services operational delivery (Captive and/or BPO).
Key competencies.
• Strong client-facing communication and governance discipline; ability to operate in ambiguity and drive alignment across stakeholders.
• Data-driven management of KPIs/SLAs, quality, and productivity; ability to convert operational signals into structured actions.
• Operational risk mindset, controls orientation, and consistent audit-ready execution.
• Transformation mindset: standardize, simplify, automate, and embed Lean routines into daily management.
• P&L accountability mindset and understanding of contractual design.
Success measures (sample KPIs)
• SLA/KPI attainment (timeliness, accuracy, TAT, backlog, close performance).
• Reduction in recurring defects, operational incidents, and escalations through effective problem management and standard work.
• Contractual entitlement.
• Audit/control outcomes: evidence completeness, control adherence, issue remediation cycle time.
• People outcomes: attrition/engagement trends, capability building, succession coverage
