Senior Accounting Analyst

Overview of the role: Senior Accounting Analyst with extensive experience in corporate accounting and financial reporting within multinational environments, acting strategically in the accounting close process and ensuring compliance with IFRS/CPC and global accounting policies. Responsible for the preparation and review of local financial statements and reporting packages to headquarters, ensuring quality, consistency, and strict adherence to deadlines. Brings solid experience with Big Four audits, variance analysis, complex technical accounting matters, and internal controls. Serves as a local technical reference, contributing to continuous improvement, standardization, and automation of accounting processes, with strong international exposure and the ability to communicate effectively in English.

What you’ll do:

Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close (hard close).

Prepare and review local financial statements and reporting packages for headquarters.

Perform variance analyses (bridge and flux analysis) and provide management explanations.

Execute complex account reconciliations.

Prepare footnotes and support technical accounting matters (IFRS 15, IFRS 16, PPA, impairment, provisions, financial instruments, etc.).

Support external audits (Big Four) and interact with local and global auditors.

Partner closely with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and Legal teams.

Interact with regional and global teams in English.

Support and mentor mid-level and junior analysts.

Drive continuous improvement, standardization, and automation of accounting processes, ensuring compliance and internal controls (SOX, when applicable).

We require a candidate who has achieved or is capable of the following:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

Intermediate English (reading, writing, and speaking).

Active CRC (Brazilian CPA license).

Previous experience in a multinational company and/or Big Four firm.

Strong knowledge of IFRS, CPC, and global accounting policies.

Experience with international reporting and consolidation.

Experience supporting external audits.

Knowledge of internal controls (SOX, when applicable).

Advanced Excel skills.

Experience with ERP system TOTVS Protheus.
