Lead React Native Engineer

We’re hiring our first mobile engineer in São Paulo to own the React Native app end to end and partner directly with the founder on product, architecture, and user experience.

Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Lead React Native Engineer based in São Paulo, Brazil. You'll be the founding mobile engineer at Glitch, the person who owns the iOS and Android experience end to end. This isn't a \"ticket-taker\" role.

We want someone product-oriented who brings strong ideas for features and improvements, not just someone implementing tickets. You'll be building new kinds of mobile interfaces for AI products: dynamic surfaces, conversational workflows, and composable UI systems that can adapt to user context in real time.

If you are an active trader of prediction markets, crypto, or stocks, that’s a huge plus.

Day to day, you'll be: Owning the architecture and development of our React Native app end to end, and defining the foundation we build on as the product evolves. Designing fluid, animated interactions that make the AI feel like a living presence, not a text box Implementing real-time data feeds, push notifications, and background processing for market alerts Collaborating directly with the founder on product direction. Your opinions on UX matter here, not just your code Building composable UI primitives (cards, charts, widgets) that our AI agent can dynamically assemble into personalized interfaces Using AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) to move at the pace of a full engineering team, even when you’re building solo Shipping to TestFlight and the App Store, managing releases, and iterating fast based on user feedback Integrating with crypto wallets, onchain transactions, and Web3 infrastructure

Qualifications 3+ years of production React Native experience (or React + strong mobile interest; convince us) You've shipped at least one app that real humans use and love. Show us Deep comfort with TypeScript, modern React patterns (hooks, context, concurrent features), and state management Experience with animations and gesture handling (Reanimated, Gesture Handler). You care about the 60fps details Strong CS fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, system design. You can think, not just implement Experience with real-time data (WebSockets, SSE, polling) and push notifications Comfort with backend integration: REST APIs, GraphQL, authentication flows Proficient with AI coding tools to increase productivity (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) Bonus: crypto/Web3 experience (wallets, transactions, onchain data) Bonus: experience building chat interfaces, AI-powered UIs, or streaming LLM responses Bonus: an eye for design. You notice when padding is off by 4px and it bothers you Bonus: familiarity with native modules and bridging when React Native isn't enough

Who You Are Scrappy.

You'd rather ship something imperfect today than architect the perfect system for a month. You can go from zero to prototype in a weekend Opinionated about craft.

You have taste. You've used an app and thought \"this animation is wrong\" and you could explain why. You care about the details that make software feel good Excited about the frontier.

AI-native interfaces, prediction markets, crypto — this isn't a job where you maintain a CRUD app. The product we're building barely has precedent. Low-ego, high-output.

Small team. Everyone does everything. You'll pair with the founder, debate product decisions, and push code in the same afternoon Builder energy.

Why Glitch Compensation.

R$25,000–R$35,000 BRL/month + meaningful early-stage equity, depending on experience and scope. High ownership, high standards.
