As a Field Service Technician, you are responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of the various TechnipFMC wellhead related equipment. You will work, onshore and offshore, but also at our base in
Nieuw-Amsterdam/Veenoord
when support is required in our workshop.
Duties and responsibilities:
Work independently or in a team on installing (new) products, conduct repairs and maintenance of equipment.
Makes decisions to determine action that is consistent with policies & general procedures.
Assures all equipment, service tooling & spare parts are on location, ready to use and fit for function prior the start of each job. Ensures assembly will work and assists with the review of product running procedures.
Ensure that field service reports are filled in with all required information.
Provides “Project Support” for (new) projects which includes attending design reviews for equipment & tools, reviewing installation procedures, assisting with project Factory Acceptance Tests, and reviewing project training requirements for service personnel.
Communicates on a high level with Company Representative regarding a.o. job procedures, spare parts requirements, critical dimension measurements, safety.
Provides “Sales Support” by keeping the customer fully informed on all aspects of the job and handling customer complaints in a professional manner.
Understands and follows all TechnipFMC and customer safety requirements. Proactively pursues safe work practices and participates in safety training.
Reports to the Service (Project) Manager daily and informs the Service (Project) Manager in case business critical decisions must be made.
You are meant for this job if:
Technical education (MBO level) or equivalent through experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
Strong technical understanding and hands-on mechanical work experience
Ability to read, understand, and follow relevant procedures
Calm under pressure, with a proactive, systematic, and innovative problem-solving approach
Responsible, reliable, and committed to quality and HSE standards
Excellent communication and listening skills Able to express ideas clearly and concisely
Capable of handling challenging questions and facilitating problem resolution
Skilled in persuasion and influence
Strong command of English; sufficient German language skills
Flexible regarding working hours, locations, and travel Willing and able to travel abroad for work and training
Be available to support workshop activities when required
