Digital Development Team LeadThis role is fully remote but requires someone to work ET daytime hours, and be fluent in English as this person will be very client facing with US-based clients. Remote position based in Latin America - Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Columbia, or neighboring countries/regions.The Digital Development Team Lead provides organizational leadership and operational expertise to the Digital Development team. They will focus on ensuring appropriate resources are assigned to projects while promoting and improving new and established technologies efficiencies and operational excellence. They will partner with the Sr Team Lead Digital to ensure all aspects of the team are running as efficiently and effectively as possible including technology, systems, utilization, workload, team dynamics, coaching, and training. They work closely with the Client's technology lead to establish best practices for use of the various platforms hardware and software and ensure compliance with Client's digital policies and procedures. Remote position based in Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Columbia, or neighboring countries/regions.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESLeadership- Manages full-stack, front-end, and back-end developers as well as QA specialists and Information Architects- Serves as first point of escalation for Digital Development team members- Accountable for quality, accuracy, efficiency, and consistency of deliverables- Works with the QA specialists to ensure that established processes are implemented and followed- Provides technical operations and process guidance to the team- Demonstrates a real sense of caring for the team's professional and personal well-being- Encourages a positive nurturing and professional culture that values and is committed to excellence and continuous improvement- Tracks and enters time into department tracking systems and ensures accurate and timely time entry for team members- Responsible for the appropriate and discreet handling of proprietary and restricted informationOperations- Assigns projects to appropriate digital team resources based on availability, workload, and skillset while monitoring the utilization of individual contributors- Anticipates production obstacles to ensure accurate and on-time delivery- Proactively troubleshoots timing, resource, and technical issues and responds to evolving business needs and quick-turn requests- Champions operational best practices policies workflows and procedures- Attends client intake meetings, partners with clients and account services, and provides subjectmatter expertise- Prepares reviews and/or presents estimates/SOWs to internal and external stakeholders- Provides guidance on all available platforms for development solutions Public- Evaluates and recommends new hardware and software that will improve efficiency and keep the team on the leading edge of digital development work- Supports the configuration and administration of application and database servers- Supports the administration of development workflow tools including Jira and BitBucket- Stays current on IT and all corporate policies and procedures to ensure team compliance when executing development projects- Serves as the subject matter expert for the Digital Development team on Client's Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) requirementsStaff Management and Resourcing- Coaches mentors and develops team members relative to departmental technologies processes and workflows- Proactively addresses team members' performance issues- Provides appropriate feedback on team performance- Assists in functional area onboarding and training for new hires- Fosters a team spirit that is reflective of team members' collective personalitiesSkills and knowledge required- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across the agency and across functional areas within the agency while working in a remote environment- Exhibits strong active mentoring and leadership skills to elevate individual growth and team performance- Demonstrates excellent communication presentation and interpersonal skills; this is a client-facingrole- Works well independently and in a collaborative creative environment- Displays proactive, decisive ability to manage crises when they occur- Operates effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment - Demonstrates superior customer-service ethic- Displays strong bias for action and ability to manage both the big picture as well as the details- Ability to marry aesthetic and design sensibilities with solid technical industry best practices- Has an in-depth working knowledge of both waterfall and agile development methodologies- Has proven expertise in back-end development, specifically relational databases and object-oriented programming with Microsoft technologies- Has proven expertise in responsive and mobile-first front-end development including industry standard technologies and frameworks such as HTML, CSS, SASS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, JQuery, Server-side architecture and tools required to create manage and deploy websites- Has expertise in additional technologies including: SharePoint Online/Office 365Microsoft, IIS, SQL, ServerApacheoCloud Services (AWS & Cloud Foundry)Tridion, Wordpress and MySQLColdfusionoPHPoASP.NETGIT-based source control repositories- Has familiarity with Jira issue and project tracking, HTML, email creation and delivery using HTML Zurb Foundation and Poppulo, Google Analytics, Windows and Mac platforms
