QE Engineer – UI & API Automation,

Role: QE Engineer – UI & API Automation

Level: L3 (Sr. QE Engineer (API, UI Automation)- 6-10 Years experience)

JD: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of quality engineers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement. Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies, including automated and manual testing approaches, to ensure software quality at all stages of the development lifecycle. Establish and maintain QA processes, best practices, and standards to improve product quality and testing efficiency. Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define quality metrics, identify areas for improvement, and ensure alignment on project goals. Design, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements and specifications. Oversee defect tracking and resolution processes, ensuring timely identification and resolution of issues. Analyze testing results and provide actionable insights to drive process improvements and enhance product quality. Evaluate, implement, and maintain automated testing tools and frameworks to streamline testing processes. Provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in quality engineering. Proven experience in a leading, managing and mentoring a team. Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes (Agile, Scrum, etc.). Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality software. Experience / Knowledge on NFT testing is added advantage. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, and working experience on Gradle/Groovy and in implementing CI/CD (GitLab, Maven- Jenkins, SonarQube, Sauce labs) etc. Understanding & Work Experience on BigCommerce, SAP-Hybris, AEM or similar eCommerce platforms. Experience working on TestNG, Cucumber BDD, Hybrid, Rest Assured/Karate, or similar frameworks. Able to efficiently function as an E2E coordinator, collaborating with multiple integration partner teams on test execution and defect triaging process. Experience working in prior API testing projects with tools Postman, SOAP UI, swagger UI etc., for functional testing. Hands-on Automation with Java for Webservices/Rest Assured for API's Automation testing, experience working on API Frameworks Ability to understand & contribute building framework components and configure/update. ALM/JIRA/ADO similar test/defect management tools experience Experience working on Agile projects. Excellent knowledge and experience on test management, project & process delivery along with effective verbal, written and assertive communication. Client/Stakeholders management including coordination directly from Offshore to the Clients onshore .
