Role Summary
The Process Engineer is responsible for designing, optimizing, and implementing efficient industrial processes
while maintaining close collaboration with clients. This role acts as a key technical liaison, translating client
requirements into practical, compliant, and cost-effective process solutions. The Process Engineer works directly
with customers throughout the project lifecycle—requirements gathering, process definition, implementation,
validation, and continuous improvement—ensuring technical excellence and high levels of client satisfaction.
In addition to process design and optimization, the role involves leading technical discussions, supporting
decision-making with data-driven insights, managing change requests, and addressing client concerns in a
proactive and solutions-oriented manner. Strong communication skills, customer focus, and the ability to align
engineering solutions with business needs are essential for success in this position.
Essential Responsibilities
• Manage and assess process changes requested by clients, ensuring feasibility, compliance, and risk
mitigation
• Prepare and maintain process documentation, including flow diagrams, SOPs, work instructions, and
reports
• Ensure processes comply with regulatory, safety, and quality standards applicable to the industry
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, quality, engineering, sales, and project management)
• Provide technical support during audits, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
• Monitor process performance using KPIs and recommend continuous improvement actions
• Support cost estimation, timelines, and technical inputs for proposals and project planning
• Build long-term client relationships through technical credibility, responsiveness, and solution-oriented
communication
• Act as the primary technical point of contact between the company and clients for process-related matters
• Gather, analyze, and translate client requirements into detailed process specifications and technical
solutions
• Design, develop, and optimize processes to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness
• Lead technical meetings, workshops, and presentations with clients to align expectations and communicate
progress
• Support process implementation, commissioning, and validation at client sites or remotely
• Identify process improvement opportunities and propose data-driven, innovative solutions
Qualifications/Requirements
English – Conversation level
Bachelor’s degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical
Engineering, or a related field
Strong knowledge of process design, process mapping, and optimization methodologies
Experience working in the mining industry
Hands-on experience with process implementation, troubleshooting, and performance improvement
Spanish is a diferential.
