Job Summary This is a full-time fully remote working opportunity where you will be working as part of a Scrum team which requires working closely with other software engineers, stakeholders and contributors on the project. Working with respect to the US timezone is a requirement for the position. Attending meetings, being actively involved in the decision making process and collaborating with all of these stakeholders are essential parts of this position.

Key Responsibilities: Architect, design, and implement backend systems and APIs using Java (Spring Boot/Spring Cloud) for AI-driven applications. Collaborate with data science and ML teams to integrate machine learning models and pipelines into scalable backend services. Develop and optimize microservices, ensuring low latency and high availability. Implement data ingestion, transformation, and model-serving workflows in coordination with ML engineers. Ensure seamless deployment of ML models through API endpoints and containerized environments. Apply best practices for security, scalability, and reliability across distributed systems. Optimize backend services for performance and cost efficiency in cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure). Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and infrastructure as code.

Minimum Qualifications: Advanced level of written and oral English proficiency. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree

in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (AI/ML specialization a plus). 7+ years

of professional backend development experience with

Java. Strong proficiency in

Java (8 or higher)

and frameworks such as

Spring Boot

or

Spring Cloud

. Experience with

RESTful API design

,

microservices architecture

, and

event-driven systems

. Solid understanding of

SQL/NoSQL databases

(e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB). Familiarity with

cloud platforms

such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure. Proficient in

Git

,

CI/CD pipelines

, and

containerization tools

(Docker, Kubernetes). Understanding of

Agile development principles

and version control best practices.

Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with

MLOps practices

and CI/CD for ML pipelines. Contributions to

AI/ML-related open-source projects

or research experience.
