Scrum Master with Appian expertise

to support a US-based customer. This position collaborates with cross-functional development teams in the US, Costa Rica, and Brazil, focusing on enabling predictable, high-quality delivery of low-code solutions on the Appian platform. This role is ideal for a hands-on Agile delivery leader with strong technical fluency, deep Appian experience, and the ability to mentor teams, remove impediments, and translate business needs into technically sound backlog items.

About the Role:

As a Scrum Master – Appian, you will lead and facilitate all core Agile ceremonies while serving as a delivery leader responsible for ensuring sprint commitments are met with high quality and predictable throughput. You will partner closely with Product Owners, engineers, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders to translate high-level business concepts into detailed technical user stories. You will actively identify, escalate, and remove impediments, track and communicate team performance using Agile metrics, and champion Agile principles to continuously mature team practices in a complex technical environment.

Responsibilities:

Lead and facilitate all core Agile ceremonies, including Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives. Serve as a delivery leader, ensuring sprint commitments are met while maintaining high quality and predictable throughput. Actively identify, escalate, and remove delivery impediments across teams. Track, analyze, and communicate team performance using Agile metrics. Champion Agile principles and continuously mature team practices. Partner with Product Owners, technical leadership, and stakeholders. Author clear, technically accurate user stories, including Appian, DevOps, and QA-related work. Translate high-level business concepts into detailed technical stories. Collaborate with engineers and QA teams to ensure feasibility and testability.

Required Experience:

Strong experience as a Scrum Master with significant Appian experience. Hands-on experience with the Appian low-code platform. Proven ability to train and mentor teams and drive process improvement. Demonstrated Agile leadership in complex technical environments. Strong knowledge of DevOps workflows and QA/testing practices. Excellent communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

BS/MS in Computer Science, Systems Analysis, or equivalent. Experience with Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
