About Levity
Our client, Levity, is a no-code AI automation platform that enables companies to build and deploy AI-powered workflows without needing programming skills. Levity helps teams automate repetitive operational tasks such as processing emails, documents, images, and customer requests by training AI models on their own data.
Founded in 2018, Levity has raised USD 12MM and is backed by top-leading investors including Balderton Capital, one of Europe's leading venture capital firms, and Angular Ventures.
With its HQ in Germany and Chicago, but with a global presence, its platform is designed to make AI accessible to non-technical teams by allowing them to create and deploy automation through a simple visual interface. This enables companies to streamline workflows, reduce manual work, and increase operational efficiency across functions like operations, customer support, and back-office processes. Levity has been greatly used especially by global logistics leading companies.
In simple terms: Levity allows companies to automate complex business workflows using AI without needing engineers.
About the role
Levity is hiring their first in‐house Lead Product Designer to own our product experience end‐to‐end and help define how design lives at Levity.
Why this role:
- You'll be the foundational product designer Lead at a company where design is already taken seriously.
- You'll work directly with the CTO, founders, solutions engineering, commercial/GTM, to shape the product, not just individual screens.
- You'll design at the frontier of what's possible with AI and automation, turning complex workflows into simple, delightful experiences.
What you'll do:
Own the product & UX:
- Lead the end‐to‐end product design for Levity's core product: from problem framing and flows to final UI.
- Turn messy, real‐world automation use cases into clear, intuitive user journeys and interfaces.
- Prototype and test with users to validate ideas quickly and iterate based on real feedback.
- Work closely with Sebastian (CTO), engineers, GTM and solutions engineers to ensure what you design actually ships - and works.
Build systems, not one‐off:
- Create and maintain a scalable design system (components, patterns, guidelines) that can grow with the product.
- Ensure visual and UX consistency across product UI and other digital touchpoints (e.g. website, selected marketing surfaces).
- Understand users deeply:
- Run interviews, usability tests, and lightweight research with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Distill insights into clear problems, journeys, and opportunities for the product.
- Champion the end user in discussions with engineering, solutions, and go‐to‐market teams.
Be AI‐first in both product & process:
- Explore and design AI‐native interaction patterns (assistants, smart defaults, conversational flows, etc.).
- Use modern AI tools in your own workflow to ideate, prototype, and ship faster.
- Stay on top of what's possible with AI and bring those ideas into Levity - both in the product and in how we work.
Your Experience & Background
- 5+ years of experience in product / UX design in a fast‐moving tech company, design agency, or startup.
- A portfolio that shows you can:
- Own complex product areas end‐to‐end (not just isolated UI work).
- Turn complexity into simple, elegant flows and interfaces.
- Strong product and UX thinking:
- You challenge requirements, clarify problems, and propose better solutions.
- You're comfortable making trade‐offs between scope, speed, and polish.
- Proven experience working very closely with engineers and product / solutions teams to get things shipped.
- Experience can be from:
- Strong product companies or PLG SaaS,
- Agencies or freelance practice shipping complex digital products,
- Design‐driven startups where you were close to engineering and founders.
- B2C or consumer products with high UX and visual quality.
- B2B SaaS with complex workflows and demanding users, with strong user-end focus.
- A genuinely fast, iterative way of working: You know when 80% is enough to learn and move.
- Real curiosity for and engagement with AI tools and new design technologies: You actively experiment with them in your work.
