About the role

Oversee the company’s financial operations ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting across all entities. This role manages monthly financial closes, reconciliations, AP/AR processes, bookkeeping oversight, and financial reporting. The Controller will coordinate with CPAs for tax filings, maintain KPI dashboards, implement financial controls, and provide actionable financial insights to executives and investors.

Responsibilities

Oversee and ensure timely and accurate monthly financial closes across all entities Review financial packages, reconciliations, and reports for accuracy and compliance Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bookkeeping processes Supervise Finance Associates and bookkeepers (U.S. and international) ensuring quality and accountability Coordinate with U.S.-based CPAs on tax planning, tax filings, and compliance matters Support owners with legal documentation, compliance filings, and investor documentation Maintain and verify KPI dashboards and financial reporting accuracy Deliver consolidated financial reports within defined timelines after month-end close Implement financial controls, policies, and system improvements to increase operational efficiency Provide executives and investors with financial insights and reporting Collaborate with the CFO on KPI modeling, financial analysis, and strategic financial planning Review financial work completed by Finance Associates and ensure accuracy and deadlines Maintain organized financial documentation and compliance records Ensure investor communications and legal financial documentation are completed on schedule

Requirements

5+ years of experience in accounting or finance Experience in real estate, construction, or investment management preferred CPA certification preferred Experience managing bookkeepers or finance teams Strong experience with monthly close processes and financial reporting Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets Experience with accounting software and financial management systems Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high accuracy in financial reporting Ability to manage multiple financial priorities and deadlines simultaneously Strong analytical and financial problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with leadership
