DevOps Infrastructure Engineer

Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled

Backend Infrastructure Engineer

to support critical Kinetix infrastructure modernization initiatives. This role will lead server migrations, environment configurations, cloud platform updates, and backend system readiness across multiple Kinetix components. The engineer will play a key role in ensuring operational continuity as we transition away from end‑of‑life systems and move toward secure, compliant cloud environments.

Responsibilities: Lead and execute end‑to‑end server migration projects. Configure, maintain, and optimize Windows and Linux server environments. Support cloud platform updates, primarily in Microsoft Azure. Troubleshoot backend configuration, connectivity, and performance issues. Manage and update networking components including DNS, certificates, load balancing, VPNs, and firewalls. Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and changes. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure system stability and readiness. Support infrastructure modernization and cloud compliance initiatives. Required Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in backend infrastructure, DevOps, or systems engineering. Hands‑on experience with server migrations and infrastructure modernization. Strong knowledge of both Windows and Linux server administration. Proficiency in networking technologies (DNS, certificates, load balancers, VPNs, firewalls). Experience working with

Azure

; AWS experience is a plus. Strong troubleshooting skills for configuration and connectivity issues. Excellent documentation and communication abilities. Advanced English proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the

railroad

industry is preferred. AWS exposure or certifications. Automation or scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.). Monitoring tools experience (e.g., Azure Monitor, Grafana, Splunk). CI/CD familiarity. Soft Skills: Strong communication and documentation capabilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Proactive problem‑solver with a collaborative mindset. Adaptability to fast‑paced environments.
