automating mobile app tests using Appium with Java

, leveraging the

TestNG framework

, and managing code and CI/CD pipelines via

GitHub

. Familiarity with

Agile practices

Jira

, and

Confluence

is essential.

Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for Android and iOS applications using

Appium with Java

. Implement and manage test cases using the

TestNG framework

. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using

GitHub Actions

or similar tools. Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA team members in

Agile ceremonies

(daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives). Track and manage test cases, bugs, and documentation using

Jira and Confluence

. Ensure high test coverage and maintain test data and environments. Analyze test results, identify issues, and provide detailed reports. Continuously improve test automation strategies and frameworks.

Required Skills & Qualifications (Must Have): Good experience in

mobile automation testing

. Strong proficiency in

Java

and

Appium/Selenium

. Experience with

TestNG

for test management and execution. Proficient in using

GitHub

for version control and pipeline automation. Solid understanding of

Agile methodologies

and tools like

Jira

Confluence

. Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications (Good To Have): Experience with

cloud-based device farms

(e.g., BrowserStack) Knowledge of

BDD frameworks

like Cucumber. Exposure to

REST API testing

and tools like Postman.
