Engineering / Infrastructure Job Description: Pinterest is seeking a talented Web Software Engineer to join our Core Engineering team in São Paulo. In this role, you will work on Pinner-facing features within the Pinterest web experiences, contributing to each step of the product development process—from requirements gathering and implementation to running A/B tests and validating launches. You will partner closely with design, product, and backend teams to deliver end-to-end functionality that delights millions of users worldwide. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain Pinner-facing features across Pinterest's web platforms, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and performant user experiences. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, product management, and backend engineering to define requirements and implement solutions. Employ automated testing strategies (unit and integration testing) to build features with a high degree of technical quality. Take ownership of the components and features you develop, ensuring they meet Pinterest's standards for reliability and maintainability. Participate in A/B experiments, helping to evaluate and validate the impact of new features and improvements. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that can be used by many other engineers for years to come. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, incorporating best practices into your work. Grow as an engineer by collaborating with world-class peers on varied and high-impact projects. Required Qualifications: Experience:

5+ years of industry web application development experience working in large code bases, building consumer or business-facing products for both desktop and mobile web users. Technical Expertise:

Demonstrated strong understanding of web development and best practices, with expertise in: React HTML/CSS JavaScript Mobile Web:

Demonstrated experience building for mobile versions of websites (responsive design, mobile-first approaches). Testing:

Experience with unit testing and integration testing frameworks. Experimentation:

Experience launching and evaluating A/B experiments. Code Quality:

Proven track record of following best practices to write reliable and maintainable code. Adaptability:

Ability to keep up-to-date with new technologies and understand what should be incorporated into ongoing work. Collaboration:

Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working effectively in cross-functional teams. Language:

English language proficiency required for effective communication with global teams. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in large-scale consumer platforms or social media companies.
