Descrição da Vaga
Full-Stack AI Software Engineer
The Opportunity
We're a software and AI company that builds automation systems for organizations ready to scale without scaling headcount. Our biggest client right now is an EdTech company with real traction — 10,000 students already learning twice as fast as their peers. The goal: take that to 100,000 without growing the team linearly.
We need a full-stack engineer who can architect end-to-end systems, deploy and manage them on AWS, and think critically about where automation creates the most leverage — whether that's improving educational outcomes, streamlining operations, or eliminating bottlenecks that slow everything down.
What You'll Do
You'll own the full lifecycle of automation systems — from design through deployment and production monitoring on AWS. That means building scalable, event-driven architectures using serverless and managed services, replacing manual processes with self-sustaining workflows, and keeping everything running reliably as usage grows by orders of magnitude. You'll make real infrastructure decisions: how services communicate, how workloads scale, how failures get handled, and how the whole thing gets deployed repeatably through code.
Right now, much of your work will directly impact how students learn and how educators operate, so you'll need to care about the downstream effects of what you build, not just whether it runs.
The Terms
Fully remote, contractor-based role at $4,000–$5,000 USD/month
What We're Looking For
Professional English proficiency — you'll be in meetings with clients, not just writing code
3+ years building full-stack applications (Next.js, NestJS, React)
Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools (LLMs, Cursor, Claude Code, etc.) as part of your daily workflow
Deep experience with AWS services — not just using them, but architecting with them: Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, S3, CloudWatch, and Step Functions
Hands-on infrastructure-as-code experience with AWS CDK or CloudFormation — you should be deploying entire stacks, not clicking through the console
Strong TypeScript and Node.js skills
Experience designing clean, well-documented APIs
Database proficiency — relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL), including schema design and query optimization
GitHub + GitHub Actions for version control and CI/CD pipelines that deploy to AWS
Clear understanding of software design principles (SOLID, DRY) and modular architecture
Nice to Have
Experience working with EdTech platforms or in domains where your code directly affects learning outcomes
Python/Pandas for data processing at scale
Serverless monitoring and observability — you've set up alerts, dashboards, and tracing in production AWS environments
Cost-awareness around AWS resource usage at scale
The ability to explain technical trade-offs in plain language to non-technical stakeholders
Why This Role Matters
The systems you build will immediately change how thousands of children learn. If you want to write code that has a measurable impact on real users, and you like working with a small team that moves fast, we'd love to talk.
