The Role
The UI Designer is a key contributor to Lilo Social's conversion rate optimization practice, responsible for designing high-performing Shopify storefronts and direct-response landing pages for a portfolio of 8- and 9-figure DTC brands. This role sits at the intersection of aesthetics and performance, translating CRO strategy, A/B test hypotheses, and brand guidelines into polished, conversion-optimized digital experiences. You will work closely with CRO strategists, developers, and client partners to bring designs from concept to implementation with precision and speed.

Responsibilities
Design Shopify storefront experiences including homepages, product detail pages, collection pages, and cart/checkout flows optimized for conversion
Develop high-converting landing pages for paid media campaigns, promotional offers, and subscription acquisition
Translate CRO hypotheses and A/B test briefs into polished, production-ready design mockups using Figma
Apply direct response design principles to every deliverable, balancing visual quality with performance intent
Collaborate with CRO strategists to understand test objectives, user behavior data, and optimization priorities before beginning design work
Iterate rapidly on design concepts based on A/B test results, heatmap analysis, and qualitative feedback
Maintain and evolve client-specific design systems and component libraries in Figma to ensure brand consistency at scale
Handoff designs to developers with annotated specs, interaction notes, and responsive behavior defined
Review implemented pages against design intent and provide precise QA feedback prior to launch
Participate in client-facing design reviews and communicate design rationale clearly and professionally
Stay current on DTC eCommerce design trends, Shopify theme capabilities, and emerging CRO best practices
Requirements
3+ years of UI design experience, with a portfolio demonstrating Shopify storefront and landing page work for eCommerce brands
Expert proficiency in Figma, including component libraries, auto layout, and developer handoff workflows
Deep understanding of direct response design principles and how layout, hierarchy, copy placement, and visual cues drive conversion
Proven experience designing within or alongside A/B testing frameworks (Intelligems, Convert, VWO, Optimizely, or similar)
Strong understanding of responsive design and mobile-first design principles
Ability to interpret quantitative data (CVR, bounce rate, scroll depth, heatmaps) and translate insights into design decisions
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and defend design decisions to internal teams and client stakeholders
Nice to Have
Familiarity with Shopify theme structure, Liquid templating, or experience working directly within Shopify Online Store 2.0
Experience with tools such as Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, Google Optimize, or similar UX research and testing platforms
Basic proficiency in HTML/CSS sufficient to support developer QA and minor implementation edits
Background in DTC subscription brands or experience designing subscription-specific UX (subscribe-and-save, upsell flows, portal pages)
Motion or micro-interaction design experience using Figma prototyping or After Effects
