Overview: We are seeking a Test Engineer – API & Automation with strong Java skills and experience in automated testing for backend systems. The ideal candidate will design and implement data validation tests, lead a team of test engineers, and drive quality across API and automation projects in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities: Design and execute data validation and API tests based on business requirements. Assess risks, prioritize defects, and provide comprehensive data quality evaluations for both existing and new features. Lead and mentor a team of test engineers, establish automation standards, and optimize testing strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance testing and defect remediation processes.

Required Skills & Experience: Strong Java programming and end-to-end testing experience 3+ years developing automation scripts (TestNG, Java) and API tests (RestAssured) 3+ years of performance testing for high-scale backend systems Good knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, etc.) Functional testing on Native Apps and OTT web platforms is a plus 2+ years leading engineers across distributed teams Experience with Agile methodologies, Jira, and TestRail Excellent leadership, mentoring, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with OTT platforms Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines Exposure to Agile management tools like Jira
