Head of Finance & Operations – Financial Services

We are partnering with a high-growth, ASX-listed organisation seeking a commercially astute Head of Operations to lead and scale its operational and trading functions. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the CFO, this is a critical leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, governance, and performance across a complex portfolio. You will lead a capable team with several direct reports across operations and trade execution, ensuring robust controls, efficient capital deployment, and seamless transaction management. This role requires a confident, polished executive who is comfortable operating at ELT level and contributing to strategic decision-making. What you’ll be doing: Lead and optimise end-to-end operational and trading functions; Drive process improvement, controls, and risk management; Partner with CEO & CFO on strategy and performance delivery; Manage and develop a high-performing operations team; and Oversee transaction execution and portfolio reporting. What we’re looking for: Proven senior leadership experience in a capital-intensive environment; Strong understanding of trading, investments, or transaction-based businesses; Demonstrated experience engaging with Boards and Executive Leadership Teams; Highly commercial, detail-oriented, and operationally rigorous; and Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
