Our client is revolutionising genomic sequencing through the development of synthetic spike-in DNA/RNA controls and a brand-new bioinformatics platform. This is a high-impact opportunity for a Senior Front End Developer to join a multidisciplinary product team and shape the future of precision diagnostics. You’ll collaborate closely with scientists, software engineers, and product designers to build a data-driven platform with real-world healthcare impact. The role offers significant influence over product direction, front-end architecture, and technology decisions. You'll be building high-performance, accessible, and user-friendly web applications used by researchers and clinicians worldwide. Key Responsibilities Design and implement modern, scalable front-end solutions with a strong focus on UI/UX and usability Work closely with backend engineers to integrate APIs and bring data visualisations and insights to life Optimise performance and implement best practices in accessibility, maintainability, and code quality Contribute to product design discussions and participate in code reviews and technical planning sessions Help define and enforce front-end coding standards, architecture, and testing frameworks What We’re Looking For 5+ years of experience in front-end software development Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive web design principles Ability to write clean, well-structured, maintainable code Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile start-up environment Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Background or interest in data visualisation, genomics, or scientific applications Understanding of API design and system architecture Competitive salary with meaningful equity participation through the company’s employee share plan Flexible hybrid working environment Regular opportunities for interstate and international travel to collaborate with global partners and research institutions Be part of commercialising cutting-edge genomics research with real-world clinical applications Join a diverse, inclusive, and collaborative team where your voice and ideas will shape the future of the product Interested?
