About The Role
Global have an opportunity for an experienced Electrical Superintendent to join our Brisbane Operations team. This role will see you leading and supervising electrical construction activities across our projects, ensuring safe, high-quality, and timely delivery of project requirements. You will spend time between our project offices supporting tenders, as well as traveling to work fronts as required.
As Electrical Superintendent, you will be responsible for managing the team, driving productivity, maintaining compliance with standards, and providing technical leadership to your team. You will also play a key role in liaising with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, plan, and supervise the day-to-day activities of the electrical team and subcontractors on site.
Ensure all electrical works comply with project specifications, drawings, codes, and safety standards.
Drive a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with HSE requirements and promoting proactive hazard management.
Complete scope estimates, perform detailed material take-offs, accurately forecast labour requirements and ensure profitability for tenders and submissions.
Manage workforce allocation, scheduling, and performance to deliver on project milestones.
Conduct daily pre-starts, toolbox talks and ensure compliance with permit-to-work systems.
Review and interpret IFC drawings, technical documents, and scope of works to guide construction execution.
Monitor quality control processes, ensuring inspections and testing are performed in line with project requirements.
Identify risks, issues, and constraints, and escalate where necessary to maintain progress.Work closely with the Project Manager, Engineers, and other Superintendents to coordinate site activities across disciplines.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to maintain strong communication and relationships.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and provide technical leadership to the team.
About You
Previous experience in a superintendent or supervisory role within the electrical or construction industry.
Recognised electrical trade qualification.
Unrestricted Electrical Licence.
White Card.
High-risk work licences (e.g., EWP, working at heights, confined space).
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction methodologies, and relevant standards.
Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and influence.
Strong communication, planning and organisational skills.
