About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Leading Hand to join our Perth-based site team. This is a hands-on role working closely with our Project Manager to ensure playground installations are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You’ll be responsible for on-site leadership, site preparation, and ensuring correct installation procedures are followed. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practical site experience and strong leadership skills who takes pride in quality work and values team collaboration. Key Responsibilities

Assist the Project Manager in preparing and maintaining plants and equipment for daily routines. Oversee site setup, layout, and preparation. Manage correct installation procedures for playground components. Maintain professionalism while representing The Play Collective on-site. Support and enforce workplace health and safety protocols. Instruct and supervise other team members across a variety of tasks, including: Reading and interpreting plans Ensuring correct use of fixings and materials Equipment positioning and compliance Soft fall installation (rubber, bark, and sand) Site remediation (e.g. turf prep and install, watering, rubbish removal) Light concreting and tree planting as required Skills and Experience

Previous experience in a site-based Leading Hand or Team Leader role Ability to read and interpret site plans and technical drawings Experience in playground or landscape installation highly regarded Competent in operating plant, tools, and materials associated with playground installation Strong communication and team leadership skills A proactive, solutions-focused mindset Benefits and Culture
