Lead, manage and oversee the operation of all Regions and Branches across the territory

About the role The General Manager is responsible to lead, manage and oversee the operation of all Regions and Branches across the zone.

What you would do in this role

Lead the development and implementation of sales strategies and targets for regions across the zone. This includes research, analysis and interpretation of market and sales data to identify trends and opportunities and develop plans that support the achievement of strategic objectives

Develop and implement a Zone Business Plan to drive Sales, Margin and Profit growth in line with Budget / Strategic Initiatives

Provide oversight and guidance on pricing and processes to maximise outcomes and ensure sales success across the branch network

Ensure customer service excellence and maintain best‑practice inventory management and supply chain systems

Support Regional Managers with the development and implementation of local Branch Business Plans and ensure accountability for delivery

Lead the development, implementation and on‑going review of financial management and budget strategies and plans for the zone to ensure the achievement of organisational objectives and targets

Drive transformational activity in the zone, commencing with Digital & Logistics

Identify and manage operational and corporate risks for the organisation and formulate strategies for managing and mitigating those risks

How can I tell if this is for me

Tertiary qualifications in Business Management or a relevant field preferred

Regional/State Management experience in Trade Sales, B2B or Distribution.

Demonstrated sales leadership expertise and experience managing geographically dispersed teams

Significant skills and experience managing the implementation and monitoring of operational plans

Knowledge and understanding of business management, including proficiency in finance and operations

A natural ability to build trusted relationships and manage stakeholders

Persuading and influencing skills – making an impact, gaining agreement, negotiating, persuading, convincing, promoting ideas, managing conflict

Experience managing Managers – and the ability to motivate and drive actions through others

Proven experience and passion for coaching and developing others

Motivated, resilient, and self‑driven
