Solutions Architect

Our Client, a large

State Government

department is looking for a

Solution Architect

with experience in

System and/or Application replacement .

Experience replacing legacy systems and applications preferred

Based in Brisbane with 50% WFH

Responsibilities

Lead initial discussions with customers and vendors to explore proposed solutions and assess feasibility.

Act as a trusted advisor, ensuring solutions align with business needs and strategic objectives.

Review business, functional and non-functional requirements to ensure that the proposed future state will meet business requirements

Analyse proposed solutions to identify key risks, dependencies, and potential impacts on the organisation.

Conduct architectural evaluations of current solutions and work with technical staff to recommend potential future solutions.

Produce Solution Architecture where required using the approved templates.

Translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language for decision-makers.

Document and present findings in a clear, concise manner suitable for executive and non-technical audiences.

Work closely with multiple teams, including technology and business teams

Clear communication to vendors and external parties

Ensure proposed solutions adhere to Queensland Government standards, policies, positions and frameworks.

Provide guidance on best practices for security, information management, and compliance.

Proven experience as a Solution Architect in complex enterprise environments.

Strong consultancy skills with the ability to influence and guide stakeholders.

Expertise in risk assessment and solution evaluation.

Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written, including the ability to simplify technical details for non-technical audiences.

Familiarity with Queensland Government ICT frameworks and compliance requirements.

TOGAF Certification (highly desirable)

Qualifications
