Listed on the ASX-300, we are committed to innovation, excellence, and delivering high-quality care.**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**We are seeking a **Legal Counsel** with excellent analytical and critical thinking skills to join our high-performing Legal team. This role offers exposure to a diverse portfolio of work — from complex commercial contracts and technology procurements to regulatory, privacy, and corporate governance matters. Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, you will

provide solutions-focused legal advice that supports IDX’s growth and operational excellence. You will also play a key role in building our legal knowledge base and strengthening compliance frameworks across the organisation.This position requires a proactive mindset, excellent analytical ability, and the confidence to engage with senior management and operational teams across the organisation.**WHAT YOU WILL DO:*** Provide clear, practical and commercially sound legal advice to senior management and internal stakeholders across a broad range of corporate and operational matters.* Review, draft and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including technology and supply procurements, service level agreements and leases.* Apply critical thinking to identify legal and commercial risks and develop pragmatic business-focused solutions.* Ensure ongoing compliance with internal controls, statutory regulations, and company policies.* Support the management of claims, disputes, patient injury claims, and litigation.* Advise on privacy data protection, regulatory compliance matters, including investigations and responses to regulators.* Monitor legislative and regulatory developments relevant to the healthcare sector and maintain IDX’s legal knowledge base.* Develop and deliver legal and compliance training to business units.* Collaborate closely with the Risk and Compliance and Quality teams to ensure legal advice aligns with corporate governance and operational objectives.**ABOUT YOU**You’re a motivated, intellectually curious lawyer who enjoys applying legal rigour to real-world business problems.
