Curis Recruitment is excited to be exclusively partnering with this fantastic Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service in the Northern Territory to recruit for a Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Opportunity As Chief Operating Officer, you will work closely with the CEO to translate strategic vision into operational excellence in this newly created role. This is an opportunity to build systems, culture, and strategy from the ground up and make a lasting impact across the organisation and the communities it serves.

Role Details

Position: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Type: Permanent, full-time

Location: Katherine, NT (FIFO considered for the right candidate)

Relocation: Relocation assistance available (from $5,000, negotiable)

Sign-on Bonus: $5,000 Curis bonus offered to the successful candidate upon completion of your first three months

For FIFO arrangements, flights and accommodation covered for agreed travel periods

Key Responsibilities

Lead operational planning, systems implementation, and continuous improvement

Ensure compliance with legislation and accreditation standards (ISO, RACGP, NDIS)

Oversee corporate services, financial planning, and resource management

Drive workforce development, performance culture, and organisational safety

Support capital investment and long-term strategic growth

Build strong relationships and represent the organisation in key partnerships

Location You will be living three hours from Darwin, in a dynamic regional centre known for its stunning natural landscapes, rich Aboriginal culture, and deep community connection. Who We’re Looking For

Qualifications in Business, Health Administration, Management or similar

5+ years’ executive leadership experience in health or community services

Strong corporate, financial and operational leadership capability

Understanding of Aboriginal primary health care and cultural competence

A flexible, adaptable leader who thrives in a changing environment

Excellent communicator and relationship-builder
