Job Description
We are partnering exclusively with a fast-growing, multi-brand retail business to appoint an Executive Director of Finance – APAC. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a unique, high-impact role with full accountability for the finance function across multiple brands and markets.
The business has achieved exceptional growth over the past four years and is now seeking a strategic finance leader with retail experience to elevate commercial performance, optimise reporting and planning and scale operations for the next phase of growth.
This is not a back-office role.It's hands-on, commercially oriented, and highly visible across the business. You will partner closely with ELT & SLT teams, retail leadership, and brand heads to ensure finance is a driver of growth, margin and operational excellence.
Role :
Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, including technical accountants, finance business partners, and FP&A
Partner with brand and retail leaders to translate strategy into measurable financial outcomes
Deliver actionable insights on margin management, pricing strategy, cost optimisation, and store performance
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning, and KPI reporting across APAC
Monitor and report on revenue, gross margin, inventory, working capital, and other key financial metrics
Ensure the integrity of financial reporting and maintain robust internal controls, compliance, and governance
Partner with the CFO on strategic initiatives, including M&A, business transformation, and system upgrades
Drive initiatives to improve processes, reporting frameworks, and operational scalability
Provide guidance to executives and operational teams on commercial decisions and capital allocation
Influence cross-functional stakeholders to embed financial discipline and accountability across the business
Support digital and operational transformation initiatives across finance and retail functions
Candidate :
CA or CPA-qualified senior finance leader with strong retail experience in multi-brand, multi-market environments
Hands-on, operationally aware, and comfortable managing both technical and strategic finance matters
Commercially astute with experience in margin management, business partnering, and operational finance
Proven track record of scaling finance teams, systems, and processes in high-growth environments
Skilled at influencing senior stakeholders and translating numbers into actionable insights
Experienced in maintaining financial integrity, compliance, and robust controls in complex businesses
