Overview
General Practitioner – ACCHO – Miami, Gold Coast Queensland.
Position Highlights: Competitive salary $280,000 per annum and a salary sacrifice of $15,000 per annum. Five weeks of annual leave per year and additional paid personal leave. Interest in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and/or communities. Employment Type: Permanent – Full-Time 8:30am‑4:30pm (30‑minute break).

This Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander community‑controlled organisation is currently seeking to fill a vacancy within their Health and Wellbeing Services division. Their Health and Wellbeing Service is committed to providing holistic health care to improve the health and well‑being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Gold Coast and surrounding communities. Clinics are located at Bilinga, Miami, and Coomera.
About the Role
The organisation is looking for a motivated General Practitioner who is dedicated to and passionate about providing high‑quality, culturally sound health care within the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. As a key member of the health team, you will work closely with the clinical team and provide a comprehensive client experience.
You will play an integral role in ensuring clinical care is in line with national standards and fostering a culture focused on providing comprehensive patient‑focused service. There are two full‑time positions (Monday to Friday) available at the Miami & Bilinga clinics. Demonstrate commitment to continuous quality improvement as an integrated aspect of service development and delivery.
Liaise with Clinical Nurse and/or Aboriginal Health Worker to ensure the client experience is seamless.
Strong knowledge and ability to optimise referral pathways to specialist and allied health services for clients.
Work closely with the Practice Manager and service team to anticipate and identify opportunities for expanding access to these services for clients.
Work Hours & Conditions
Maximum 14 patient appointments per day. General appointment time of 30 minutes per patient. Allocated administration time during the workday. Set start and finish times daily (8:30am‑4:30pm). Dedicated 30‑minute lunch break. Professional Development included within work hours.
About You
Unconditional AHPRA registration with vocational registration.
Sound understanding of systems and processes required to sustain a high standard of clinical quality and safety.
Committed to the principles and practice of Aboriginal Community Control, and to improving the long‑term health and well‑being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families & communities.
Effective communication skills – written, verbal and interpersonal.
Ability to problem‑solve.
