The Team The Insurance & Corporate Risk practice is recognised as a market leader in Australia. The team advises across all major classes of insurance, including: Public and product liability; ISR and contract works; Property; Professional indemnity; Directors & Officers; Workers’ compensation & Marine and aviation.

The Role Due to continued growth and increased workflow, an opportunity has arisen for a Lawyer (3+ years PAE) to join this high-performing Brisbane-based team.

You will:

Act primarily for defendants in personal injury claims, particularly abuse matters

Advise on public liability, workers’ compensation appeals, property damage, and policy interpretation

Work on coverage disputes and general insurance and contractual matters

Collaborate closely with senior practitioners on complex litigation

Contribute to client relationship management and business development initiatives

This role offers exposure to high-quality work across a broad range of industries including construction, resources, agribusiness, property, not-for-profit, technology, and infrastructure.

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

A minimum of 2-3 years’ post-admission experience

Demonstrated experience in personal injury claims, particularly acting for defendants

Strong technical ability and attention to detail

A genuine passion for insurance law and a clear ambition to develop your career in this sector

Excellent communication and client relationship skills
