Position Description This position will work directly with York Park Group’s Managing Director and Partners, and will play a senior role leading and advising a range of clients on strategic communications and media and PR. This will include developing and implementing communications strategies, running multi-year integrated communications campaigns, client management and administration, and managing third-party providers including content production companies and graphic designers as required. They will enjoy working on fast-moving and challenging communications campaigns, with high-profile clients. With a team, they will deliver communications strategies and plans, narrative and message development, proactive and reactive media activities, social and video content, PR and events (including speeches, panel discussions, sponsorships, etc.), and stakeholder communications and engagement plans and collateral. Skills and Experience Significant experience in strategic communications, PR or marketing communications, ideally between 8 and 12 years. Ideally has experience working within an agency or consulting environment, managing multiple clients and priorities (or in-house, managing multiple stakeholders/portfolios). Experience and confidence managing client relationships and/or stakeholders at a senior level. Experience managing small teams and third-party providers to deliver fast-moving, dynamic campaigns. Excellent writing skills, with the ability to tailor content for different audiences and channels. They will always ensure that the service standard of York Park Group exceeds client’s expectations. In addition, a York Park Group Director will: Operate in a manner that is respectful of clients, the team, and the community generally. Be both strategic and tactical. Be across emerging themes and trends in the broader communications industry. Work to attract, develop and facilitate the progression of excellent junior staff. Help improve and renew the work product of York Park Group overall, and identify new opportunities and ways of doing business. Support York Park Group’s Managing Director and Partners by identifying, introducing and/or highlighting new client opportunities, including expansion of existing clients.
