Senior Associate – Commercial Litigation

We’re hiring: Senior Associate – Commercial Litigation (Brisbane) Boss Lawyers is a boutique specialist commercial law firm based in Brisbane, acting in complex commercial litigation, insolvency, and director/shareholder disputes.

We work closely with business owners, directors, and stakeholders to resolve high-stakes disputes and deliver commercially grounded, outcome-focused advice. Our practice is built on long-term client relationships, strategic thinking, and doing litigation properly not just aggressively.

We are part of the Queensland Law Society Limitation of Liability Scheme and remain actively engaged with the legal profession through commentary, insights, and thought leadership.

The Role We are seeking a

Senior Associate (Commercial Litigation)

to join our Brisbane team in a full-time, on-site role.

You will:

Run and support complex commercial litigation matters from start to finish

Develop case strategy and provide clear, commercial advice to clients

Draft and settle pleadings, affidavits, submissions, and correspondence

Appear in court and liaise directly with counsel, experts, and opposing solicitors

Advise on insolvency-related disputes and negotiated outcomes

Assist with transactional and settlement documentation arising from disputes

About You You will ideally have:

Strong experience in commercial litigation and insolvency

Excellent drafting skills and strategic judgment

Confidence dealing directly with clients and managing matters

Experience negotiating settlements and resolving disputes pragmatically

Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills

Admission as a solicitor in Queensland with a current practising certificate

Experience in a boutique or specialist commercial firm (highly regarded)

A genuine interest in commercially intelligent litigation, not volume work
