A genuinely commercial in-house role for a lawyer looking to broaden their skillset within a

capital-backed investment group

experiencing sustained growth. Our client is the Australian and New Zealand subsidiary of a

global investment management business , headquartered in Brisbane. The group invests in and operates a

diverse portfolio of real assets and operating platforms

across ANZ and offshore markets, with a long-term ownership and value-creation focus. The business is

highly acquisitive , with an active pipeline of transactions and platform expansion initiatives. As a result, the legal function is growing to support continued investment and governance activity. Role Overview

Reporting directly to a highly regarded, ex top-tier

General Counsel , this is a broad, front-end in-house role offering exposure well beyond a typical junior legal counsel position. You will work closely with the

investment, executive and senior management teams , with meaningful

that provide regular involvement in board and committee processes and exposure to strategic decision-making. The role will include a wide mix of work such as: Corporate, commercial and contractual advice across the group Supporting

M&A, acquisition and platform growth activity , both domestically and internationally Drafting and advising on investment, shareholder and commercial agreements Assisting with board and committee papers, meetings and governance processes Managing external legal advisers and contributing to transaction strategy Day-to-day legal support to a fast-moving, investment-driven organisation About you

To be considered for this role, you will have: ~3-5+ years' PAE and an unrestricted practicing certificate Experience across corporate/M&A, commercial, property, finance or investment-related matters Strong private-practice training and/or relevant in-house exposure A

commercial, pragmatic mindset

and confidence dealing with senior stakeholders Why this role stands out
