About the Role As the Venue Marketing Director (VIC, WA, SA), your role involves serving as the strategic lead for top‑tier venue partners, ensuring the delivery of contracted marketing commitments and driving ticket sales. Responsibilities include shaping annual marketing plans and optimizing fan journeys by orchestrating activity across email, push, in‑app, web merchandising, lifecycle automation, and social communities. Leveraging deep expertise in ticketing and digital merchandising, this position delivers scalable, insight‑led marketing plans that enhance revenue, ensure venue satisfaction, and strengthen long‑term commercial relationships.

Please note: This role will be based in Victoria.

Responsibilities Strategic Venue eCo Marketing

Develop and execute annual venue marketing plans that translate business objectives into high‑ROI channel strategies, focusing on yield, utilization, and fan experience.

Act as a lead digital advisor for top‑tier venues, managing strategic relationships and resource prioritization to drive traffic and engagement.

Contracted Marketing Delivery & Governance

Oversee the end‑to‑end delivery of contracted marketing (Email, Push, SMS, Social), ensuring all deliverables meet SLA standards for accuracy and timeliness.

Maintain governance frameworks, including venue‑specific blueprints and rate cards, to drive operational consistency and optimization.

Data & Insights Revenue Uplift

Partner with Data & Digital Experience teams to analyze performance metrics, including occupancy, seat uplift, and attribution, and present actionable insights to venue partners.

Cross‑Functional Alignment & Collaboration

Collaborate across CRM, Product, and Ops teams to deliver cohesive fan experiences and brief UX teams on conversion‑driving enhancements.

Scale support for major on‑sales by implementing automated workflows and category blueprints that reduce manual requirements.

Fan Lifecycle & Automation Integration

Optimize venue outcomes by integrating venue‑specific requirements into existing fan journeys and automated lifecycle triggers (e.g., reminders, upsells, reactivation).

Continuous Improvement

Drive scalability and innovation by developing automated playbooks and reporting frameworks, while introducing venues to emerging tech like AI and personalization.

Monitor market trends in sports and entertainment to ensure venue strategies remain competitive and forward‑thinking.

About You

7+ years in digital marketing, trade marketing, ticketing, live entertainment, or eCommerce.

Proven experience leading strategic B2B relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders.

Strong understanding of digital channels (email, app, web, push, SMS, social) and merchandising.

Experience interpreting data insights into actionable strategies.

Ability to build compelling commercial narratives backed by insights and outcomes.

Exceptional stakeholder communication and relationship management skills.

Strong understanding of fan/customer lifecycle, segmentation and automated journeys.

Proven ability to manage fast‑paced, high‑volume environments.

Desirable

Experience working within a ticketing, events, venue, or promoter environment.

Exposure to martech tools such as Braze, Fullstory, GA4, CMS platforms.

Experience with agile delivery and cross‑functional squads.

Understanding of CRO or experimentation frameworks.
