Executive Director Intake and Investigations
Band 5 Permanent FullโTime. Anticipated starting salary: $130,190.52 with a 5% increase upon successful completion of probation. The Executive Director leads the development and implementation of intake, investigative and early resolution strategies and plans required to deliver effective, efficient, timely, fair, thorough and impartial investigative and intake services pursuant to the Ombudsperson Act and in alignment with office commitments to diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility and reconciliation.
Responsibilities
Provide expert advice to the Deputy Ombudsperson Intake and Investigations and the Ombudsperson on matters of effective service delivery, policy development and implementation, jurisdiction, current issues, trends and leading practices.
Exercise considerable responsibility interfacing with provincial government ministries and the broader provincial and local public sector.
Direct reports include the Managers of the complaintโbased Investigation teams and Manager of Intake and Early Resolution.
Lead the execution of intake investigative and early resolution strategies and plans to ensure effective and fair services aligned with the Ombudsperson Act.
Qualifications
10+ years of executive leadership experience in investigative or intake services.
Strong knowledge of the Ombudsperson Act, service delivery policy, and public sector best practices.
Demonstrated ability to interface with provincial ministries and broader public sector partners.
Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility and reconciliation.
