Family Law Partner – Rare Leadership Opportunity Base pay range: A$180,000 - A$250,000 per year.

Location: Melbourne CBD (with flexible options across Australia).

Are you an experienced Family Law Partner looking to lead a practice at a firm with serious momentum? We're seeking a Family Law Partner (or senior practitioner ready to step up) with at least 8+ years solid post‑admission experience in Family Law to drive growth in the firm.

Responsibilities

Lead the family law practice in the Melbourne office, with an eye on driving further growth.

Manage and mentor a team of family lawyers and support staff.

Take ownership of client relationships and ongoing strategy for the practice.

Work collaboratively with the other Family Law Partners.

Leverage your own referral network while collaborating with other partners in areas such as commercial, wills & estates and property law.

Contribute to firm-wide leadership, business development, and innovation initiatives.

Qualifications

Admitted to practice law in Victoria.

Minimum 8+ years post‑admission experience in Family Law (those with many more years of experience are encouraged to apply).

Accredited Specialist in Family Law (highly regarded, but not essential).

Demonstrated ability to lead a legal team and manage complex client matters.

Existing client relationships and/or a portable practice (preferred but not essential).

Commercial mindset with the drive to grow a practice within a supportive, multi‑disciplinary firm.
