Job Description

DURV is seeking a commercially astute Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the finance function and partner with the CEO and executive team to drive performance, governance, and sustainable growth. This role suits a hands‑on leader who can operate strategically while remaining close to the detail in a medium‑size business environment.

Your new role Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Executive team, you’ll provide financial discipline, insight, and decision support across the business, owning strategy, reporting, budgeting/forecasting, cashflow/treasury, and risk.

Key areas of responsibility Financial strategy Develop and deliver financial strategy aligned to business objectives.

Provide commercial insight to support growth, investment and operational decisions.

Reporting & insights Oversee accurate financial statements and management reporting.

Deliver clear monthly reporting with variance analysis and performance commentary/advice.

Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts across the business.

Build robust financial models and scenario planning to support capacity planning and resource allocation.

Analyse budgets for R&D and Production aligned to operational plans and product development priorities.

Cashflow & treasury Manage cashflow visibility, banking relationships, and funding requirements.

Optimise working capital and strengthen treasury controls.

Ensure compliance across statutory, taxation and regulatory obligations.

Manage audits and maintain strong internal controls.

Cost, margin & performance improvement Drive cost management and margin improvement initiatives.

Partner with operational leaders on profitability, pricing and cost‑to‑serve.

Identify and manage financial and commercial risks.

Ensure appropriate policies, delegations and controls operate effectively.

Lead, mentor and develop the finance team; build a high‑performing function.

Engage confidently with the Board, auditors and external partners, present insights clearly.

About you CFO with at least 5 years experience.

Strong commercial acumen—translates finance into clear business actions.

Demonstrated capability across reporting, compliance, budgeting/forecasting, cashflow, and risk.

Confident people leader with strong stakeholder management (including Board‑level communication).

Manufacturing experience preferred (inventory, WIP, costing, margin and operational performance drivers).

CA/CPA (or equivalent).
