Bridge Road Brewers is one of Australia’s pioneering independent breweries, a fiercely passionate and proudly local business that’s spent two decades shaping the craft beer scene. From our home in Beechworth, we brew award-winning beer, run a thriving hospitality venue, and lead events that celebrate our region’s creativity and community spirit.

We’re now seeking a General Manager to join our leadership team and help steer Bridge Road Brewers into its next exciting chapter.

The Opportunity As General Manager, you’ll work alongside the Managing Director and leadership team to deliver on strategic goals across production, sales, hospitality, brand, and operations. You’ll lead a talented, multidisciplinary team and help ensure Bridge Road continues to thrive as a benchmark of quality, creativity, and independence.

Based in Beechworth, with periodic check-ins at our Melbourne venues to support the teams and ensure consistency where needed.

This is a rare opportunity for a proven leader with a strong understanding of how to run a successful, profitable business and a genuine passion for the craft beer industry to make a lasting impact on one of Australia’s most loved beer brands.

Key Responsibilities

Drive business strategy and operational excellence across all departments.

Lead, mentor and support a high-performing leadership team spanning brewing, production, hospitality, sales, finance, and marketing.

Oversee financial performance, budgeting, and reporting to owners and investors.

Champion company culture and values, ensuring engagement, development, and retention across the team.

Identify opportunities for growth and innovation across products, venues, and partnerships.

Represent Bridge Road Brewers at industry events, conferences, and community initiatives.

Ensure compliance, safety, and HR systems are effective and up to date.

Maintain strong investor and stakeholder relationships.

About You You’re a confident, people-centred leader who thrives in a fast-moving, hands-on environment. You combine strategic thinking with operational know-how, and you’re comfortable balancing the creative and commercial sides of a business.

You’ll bring:

Proven success in a senior management role, ideally in FMCG, brewing, or hospitality.

Financial and strategic management experience.

Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.

Strong people leadership and HR capability.

A passion for craft beer, independence, and community connection.
