Role Overview

A renowned organisation from the hospitality sector has partnered with Elevate and is seeking an experienced senior counsel to fulfil a 3-month contract opportunity. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to work across a broad range of legal matters, with a particular focus on regulatory compliance, complex litigation, and commercial contracting in areas such as procurement, IT, and customer matters. This role will start ASAP and will be based in Melbourne, with flexibility in a hybrid working arrangement. Key Responsibilities

Advise on regulatory compliance, including competition law obligations, liquor and tobacco regulations, and potential gaming requirements. Manage and coordinate litigation matters, including disputes with customers, suppliers, and regulators. Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements (procurement, IT, and other operational contracts). Support the business with customer complaints resolution and related legal risk assessments. Provide pragmatic legal advice on operational initiatives, risk mitigation, and governance processes. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external counsel to deliver timely, business-focused solutions. About You

A minimum of 10-15 years of post-qualification experience in regulatory, commercial, and litigation work. Significant in-house legal experience in a complex, regulated industry. Demonstrated experience in procurement, IT contracts, and dispute resolution. Desired experience in liquor, tobacco, gaming, or hospitality sectors. To apply
