NNSWLHD – Staff Specialist in Addiction Medicine, Clinical Director Alcohol and Other Drugs Apply via eCredential to join the Northern NSW Local Health District as a Staff Specialist in Addiction Medicine, Clinical Director Alcohol and Other Drugs.

Where You'll Be Working The Northern NSW Local Health District extends from Tweed Heads in the north, to Tabulam and Urbenville in the west, and to Nymboida and Grafton in the south, providing acute healthcare services in eight hospitals and four Multi-Purpose Services.

Employment Details Employment Type: Permanent – Full or Part-time

Position Classification: Staff Specialist

Remuneration: $262,376 to $354,479 per annum full time equivalent (subject to CE approval for Senior Specialist)

Hours Per Week: up to 40

Applicants must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, or able to legally live and work in Australia. A current valid NSW Working with Children Check is required.

Qualifications Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist in Addiction Medicine and / or overseas trained specialist pathways and Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (Addiction Medicine)

Current clinical experience as a Senior Medical Officer in Addiction Medicine at a comparable service level

Leadership skills and ability to manage staff effectively

Collaboration and multidisciplinary teamwork skills

Communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills

Commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement initiatives

Availability for on-call roster and timely response to on-site incidents

Valid unrestricted driver's licence and willingness to travel within NSW / Australia
