Cyber Security Engineer

Contract to 30/06/2026 plus extension | Brisbane CBD | Hybrid working Brisbane based candidates only We are partnering with a leading Queensland enterprise organisation to recruit an experienced Cyber Security Engineer (M365 Security and Cyber Hygiene). In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and optimising security controls across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem to reduce cyber risk, strengthen identity protection, and improve detection and response capability Key Responsibilities: M365 Security Engineering Design, implement and optimise security controls across Microsoft 365, including: Microsoft Sentinel SharePoint Online and collaboration tools Configure Sentinel data connectors, analytics rules and automation playbooks Cyber Hygiene and Risk Reduction Remediate findings from security assessments and posture reviews Implement secure baselines and configuration standards Conduct vulnerability triage and support remediation activities Apply Zero Trust principals to identity and access controls Support privileged access and least privilege models Detection and Response Enablement Develop detection use cases and analytics rules Support incident investigation and response activities Create automation and response workflows Improve visibility across identity and collaboration risks What We’re Looking For? Proven experience in a Cyber Security Engineer or similar technical role Hands on Microsoft Sentinel Experience Entra ID security and Conditional Access design Experience remediating security assessment findings Strong understanding of identity security Experience securing M365 workloads (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams) Ability to translate security risk into technical remediation Experience in regulated environments Exposure to cloud security Why apply through Lime Recruitment?
