Network Architect

Network Architect (MPLS and Network Design) Location: Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

8+ years of experience in the network domain.

Expertise in MPLS, SD‑WAN, LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi, and cloud networking.

Provide subject‑matter expertise for network endpoint connectivity and drive LAN/WAN/Wi‑Fi transformation.

Design and implement end‑to‑end solutions for LAN, WAN, SD‑WAN (added advantage) and associated telecom platforms.

Hands‑on experience with SD‑WAN, WAN/LAN, Wi‑Fi (preferably Juniper Mist), and cloud platforms (AWS).

Familiarity with automation (CI/CD) using Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible, and scripting (Ansible/Python).

Optional knowledge of network security technologies (firewall, IDS/IPS, DDoS, proxy).

Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders and external vendors.

Collaborate closely with business units and functions.

Team player capable of working independently and under pressure.

Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Proven experience managing relationships with business partners and support teams.

Experience in an infrastructure critical environment, understanding how technology delivers value to the business and customers.

Preferred certifications: CCNP or equivalent.

Good to Have

Advanced skills in core and top‑up network technologies.

Experience with SD‑WAN, WAN/LAN, Wi‑Fi, cloud and automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
