Centre Manager - Tarooki, Robe

Overview

Uniting Church in South Australia (UCASA) conducts extensive and diverse mission activities across the state, including a network of camp and conference centres under Uniting Venues SA (UVSA). The iconic Tarooki Campsite, located in the heart of Robe, South Australia, aims to provide exceptional Christian hospitality to church and school groups and community organisations. Responsibilities

Lead a small team of permanent and casual staff Respond to enquiries, receive bookings and welcome groups upon arrival Prepare menus and order stock Prepare and serve appetising and nutritious meals in accordance with food handling and food safety standards Ensure the venue is clean and well-presented with a high level of cleanliness Be on call while groups are in residence, and farewell groups upon departure Monitor expenses and income within budget allocations Oversee routine and preventative maintenance of the building, equipment and grounds Maintain communication and an effective working relationship with the Group Manager Qualifications

Experience in a similar position and/or a Certificate IV qualification in Hospitality, Outdoor Recreation, Education, Community Development or associated discipline Experience in the hospitality industry or associated discipline Excellent customer service and hospitality skills Proven ability to work unsupervised in an autonomous, self-motivated manner Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and mentor others Experience within the camp and group accommodation industry highly regarded Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills a must Demonstrated commitment to a mainstream Christian denomination Application
