Job Description

A client of ours, a company working in the marketing and communications industry is searching for Senior and Strategic Head of Business Development to work closely with senior leadership to drive new revenue opportunities within the retail display, customer activation event and exhibition space. This role is suited to someone commercially sharp, polished and confident operating across a fast-moving environment where brands expect high-quality execution, speed and strategic guidance on how to stand out in-store. Whilst you do not need to come from the industry specifically; what matters is a strong commercial mindset and the ability to uncover opportunities across retail activation, display solutions, in-store campaigns and multi‑channel brand execution.

In this position, you will take ownership of developing and securing national business through building deep relationships with retailers, FMCG brands and major consumer‑facing clients. You will represent the business with professionalism and insight, working with clients to understand upcoming campaigns, challenges and strategic priorities and translating these into tailored retail display solutions that leverage the organisation’s capability in design, production, logistics and national fulfilment.

Working closely with management, you will contribute to shaping the commercial strategy, identifying where the market is shifting and ensuring the business remains a partner of choice for large‑scale in‑store activation programs.

The ideal candidate is proactive, commercially minded and able to build trust quickly at senior levels. Experience in business development or commercial partnerships is highly desired, ideally within retail, shopper marketing, display, POS, experiential, FMCG or a related environment. Strong communication skills, strategic thinking and the confidence to lead conversations with key decision‑makers will be critical to your success. You should thrive in an autonomous role where uncovering opportunities, opening new relationships and driving growth are key priorities.
