Senior ServiceNow Technical Consultants

📍 Sydney, Australia

Technology xAmplify

Job Description

xAmplify – Leading Australia’s Digital Evolution. At xAmplify, we’re not just another technology company. We are shaping Australia’s future by combining intelligent automation and human-centred technology services to deliver exceptional value.

Responsibilities As our new ServiceNow Senior Technical Consultant, you’ll join our growing ServiceNow Practice and work with a diverse team of over 50+ ServiceNow specialists, doing rad work for interesting projects. We’re working to change the way our clients think about their work and the ServiceNow platform. As a Senior Technical Consultant, you’ll represent xAmplify to our clients during requirements gathering and design phases, as well as helping to structure the delivery of the solution through to the client, across a broad range of ServiceNow modules and client industries! Sure, there’ll be the usual ServiceNow configuration, documentation and testing – but we like to get involved in everything from early-stage demonstrations and proof-of-concepts, to hosting requirements workshops, driving solution designs and test planning, through to deployment and hyper care activities.

Qualifications

At least 3 years of ServiceNow administration and development experience with demonstrable technical capability in all elements of ServiceNow design, build, implementation and support.

Product expertise across multiple ServiceNow modules (including ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, CSM, HRSD, WHS, SPM, LSD, IRM, SIR, PSDS, WDF, Now Assist, and so on) is highly desirable.

As this is a senior role, we consider a ServiceNow CSA mandatory, with the addition of other key certifications including the relevant CIS certifications or CAD.

We like working across the entire SDLC – so if you’ve got experience defining ServiceNow requirements, building solution design documentation, or running functional workshops in an Agile way, it’d be great to know about it.

Our engagements span from very small to very large, so this role will require you to work effectively in a team but also as a solo consultant – self‑starting and ability to work independently, managing client expectations, scope, deliverables and timelines on smaller engagements without supervision.

Confidence presenting our designs, solutions and capabilities to a diverse range of technical and non‑technical audiences.

You have strong development experience and are comfortable with programming, scripting and customisations.

Experience with APIs and integrations including REST/SOAP API, data transformation, Integration Hub and Spokes.

A good grasp of infrastructure, networks, and cloud (AWS/Azure), along with the ability to partner and problem solve with infrastructure, application and security teams.

Ability to and interest in mentoring and developing junior talent, not only standard technical guidance and project mentorship but also participating in broader practice initiatives around mentoring, upskilling, recruitment and talent development.

Experience scoping effort estimates and participating in commercial client conversations (RFQ analysis, preparation, effort scoping, technical thought leadership and solution presentation) highly desirable.

We’re building a high‑trust, high‑expectation culture within our team, aiming to help people work however they work most effectively for our clients – and that means you’ll need excellent verbal & written communication skills, a high level of organisation and time management with the ability to work proactively and autonomously in a deadline‑driven environment.

Location We’re flexible! If you’re in Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane or the Sunshine Coast you’ll have the opportunity to connect with us in person in our offices but we also welcome candidates from locations across the Australian East Coast. Our team operates on a hybrid work model, so you will have the ability to work from our office, client sites (as required with your allocated projects) or from home.

Key Eligibility xAmplify partners with a diverse client base, including Federal Government, Defence, Enterprise, State Government, and Private Sector. As a result, our eligibility criteria for these roles requires Australian Citizenship at a minimum and a current Baseline or higher AGSVA security clearance, or the ability and willingness to obtain one.
