Solution Architect

Location: Brisbane, Queensland Type: Contract Job #18300 I’m currently partnering with a large enterprise organisation undergoing a major technology transformation — moving legacy systems onto a unified enterprise platform. We’re looking for an experienced Solutions Architect to lead end-to-end solution design across multiple domains, with a strong focus on integration architecture, Microsoft Azure, and SAP. This is a key role within the Technology team, working across business stakeholders, delivery teams, vendors, and domain specialists to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and fit-for-purpose. As the Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for defining and guiding solution architecture across large, complex initiatives. You’ll translate business needs into practical, enterprise-wide designs and ensure alignment with enterprise standards, technology roadmaps, and long-term program outcomes. Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end solution architecture for complex, multi-domain initiatives Design integrations, data flows, and interface specifications across Microsoft, SAP, and enterprise platforms Partner closely with business stakeholders to shape requirements and outcomes Assess solution options, complete impact analysis, and drive architectural alignment Produce high-quality architecture artefacts (conceptual, logical, physical) Work with delivery teams and vendors to ensure designs are feasible and implemented correctly Identify architectural risks and provide mitigation strategies Ensure solutions meet scalability, security, performance, reliability, and operational needs Support governance processes including design assurance and architecture review forums What We’re Looking For

5+ years’ experience delivering solution architecture across large enterprise programs Heavy asset, utilities, mining or rail experience Strong integration architecture capability (API design, middleware, messaging, event-driven integration, data exchange models) Strong experience across the Microsoft stack, including Azure Integration Services Proven experience integrating with SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA Familiarity with frameworks such as TOGAF, modelling standards like UML Excellent stakeholder engagement skills — able to translate business needs into architecture Strong problem-solving ability, comfortable working through ambiguity
