Overview
You will lead an established engineering services business supporting the resources and industrial sectors in North West Queensland. Reporting to the Board, you will be responsible for executing approved strategy, aligning operational and commercial functions, and ensuring strong governance, reporting, and accountability across the business. Based in Mount Isa or working FIFO from Brisbane on a 2:1 roster, you will partner closely with an experienced senior management team. This role is focused on coordination, execution and visibility, rather than hands-on day-to-day operational supervision. This is a critical leadership appointment offering the opportunity to guide a respected regional business through its next phase of maturity and growth, with strong Board support and clear strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities
Execute Board-approved strategy and key initiatives
Lead and maintain an effective senior leadership team
Oversee operational, commercial and financial performance
Prepare and present monthly management and Board reports
Ensure strong governance, risk management and reporting discipline
Drive continuous improvement across systems and processes
About you
Proven background in a General Manager or senior executive role
Strong financial, commercial and strategic capability
Comfortable operating in regional or remote environments
Demonstrated experience engaging with Boards and governance forums
Preferred background in heavy industry
