The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to replace our retiring General Manager. You will be required to lead our operations across Australia and China. This critical leadership role, reporting directly to the Managing Director, offers the opportunity to guide a skilled team of maritime professionals and support staff in delivering exceptional service that consistently prioritises our customer’s interests.

Key Experience and Skills

Minimum 5 years of management experience in ship agency operations, with a strong preference for expertise in the dry bulk trade.

Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to inspire and manage high-performing teams.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

A customer‑centric approach and a commitment to delivering outstanding service.

Excellent organisational and time management skills, with acute attention to detail.

A proactive “can‑do” attitude.

Primary Responsibilities

The role requires the following key duties to be performed:

Champion safety as the top priority across all Seacorp personnel at our customer’s operations.

Ensure compliance with maritime regulations, safety standards, and corporate governance.

Oversee the day-to-day operations of ship agency and field officer teams, including roster management.

Safeguard customer interests and ensure high service levels are consistently maintained.

Strengthen relationships with key clients, partners and authorities.

Lead and mentor your team, fostering accountability and performance excellence.

Seek new business.

Adherence to timely reporting schedules.
