Our client is a fast-growing, global renewable energy company specialising in residential solar and battery energy storage solutions. They are seeking an experienced
After-Sales Service Engineer
to support the residential solar and battery business in Australia (Queensland-Brisbane). This role is critical in ensuring system reliability, customer satisfaction, and the delivery of high-quality after-sales technical support across installed systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1) After-Sales Technical Support
Provide technical support for residential solar PV and battery energy storage systems via phone, email, and on-site service.
Diagnose system faults, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
Support installers and end customers with system operation, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation.
2) Field Service & Commissioning
Perform on-site commissioning, fault diagnosis, and system optimisation in accordance with Australian standards and safety requirements.
Support warranty-related activities, including coordination of repairs, replacements, and spare parts.
Conduct technical inspections and field service visits as required.
3) Customer Communication & Reporting
Act as a professional technical point of contact for customers and installation partners.
Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Prepare service reports and documentation, providing structured feedback on product performance and recurring issues.
Collaborate with internal technical support, product, and engineering teams to resolve complex technical issues.
Participate in product training and ongoing technical development.
Deliver technical guidance or after-sales training to installers and partners when required.
Job Requirements:
Minimum
3 years’ experience
in after-sales service, technical support, or field service engineering within the
residential solar and battery sector in Australia .
Hands-on experience with residential solar PV systems, inverters, and battery energy storage solutions.
Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
Customer-focused mindset with the ability to communicate technical information effectively.
Ability to work independently and manage field-based activities.
Valid
Australian driver’s licence
and willingness to travel to customer sites.
Relevant technical qualification (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or similar) is highly regarded.
