Manager, Employment & Payroll Advisory

A&M's Employment and Payroll Advisory practice, within our People Services team, brings together experts in employment relations, payroll, taxation and data analytics to help clients ensure their workers are paid correctly and efficiently while complying with employer obligations.
We are hiring a Manager to play a key role in driving growth.
You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally, and contribute to high‑profile engagements.
Typical client projects include:
Payroll Reviews & Advisory – partnering with clients to assess payroll operations, identify risks and implement system enhancements and process improvements.
M&A Activity – supporting clients to manage the employment‑related aspects of M&A, including payroll due diligence and preparing clear, actionable reports.
Payroll and Superannuation Remediation – assisting clients in rectifying payroll and superannuation issues and managing key stakeholders such as affected employees, the Fair Work Ombudsman and the Australian Taxation Office.
What you bring to the team
Proven experience working in a payroll or ER advisory role.
Prior exposure to M&A and due diligence work is highly favoured.
Consulting experience, particularly in payroll advisory, ER, transformation, or system implementation.
Professional services experience is preferred.
Tech‑savvy, commercially minded, personable and a positive team player with strong EQ.
A willingness to learn, adapt, and collaborate.
