About the role:
The
Mining team is currently seeking a
Senior Mining Engineer
to join them.
Reporting to the Superintendent Engineering, you will play a key role in delivering safe, efficient, and cost-effective mining outcomes. You will provide technical leadership and practical support to the mining operations team, driving performance through effective planning, scheduling, and optimisation of mining activities.

Duties:
Develop and implement short-term and long-term mine plans and schedules that drive operational success.
Monitor and analyse mining operations to ensure adherence to plan and proactively identify improvement opportunities.
Provide clear technical guidance and hands‑on support to the mining operations team.
Lead and mentor a team of Mining Engineers
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to maintain compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
Prepare and present detailed reports on mining performance, including production, cost, and safety metrics.
Lead feasibility studies and economic evaluations to support future mining initiatives.
Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mining or a related field.
Proven experience in a mining engineering role with a strong operational collaboration focus.
Proven experience leading and coaching teams within a mining environment
Proficiency in mine design and planning software (e.g., Alastri, Vulcan, or similar).
Sound understanding of mining operations, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
Exposure to automation and digital technologies in mining is highly regarded.
