Head of Impact
Barwon Health Foundation – Geelong, Victoria
The Barwon Health Foundation is the independent charitable arm of Barwon Health, created to connect the generosity of our community with the life‑saving and life‑changing work of our region’s health service. The Foundation ensures donors and supporters see the real and measurable difference their generosity makes to patient care, clinical innovation and the future of healthcare in Greater Geelong.
As part of the senior leadership team, the Head of Impact shapes an exceptional donor experience through insight, emotion and evidence. You will bring together communications, marketing, campaigns, stewardship, data analytics, CRM, grants and financial impact reporting into one bold message:

Key Responsibilities
Map out and lead an integrated donor experience strategy and deliver meaningful, personalised stewardship supported by strong impact reporting.
Oversee all messaging, content, media engagement, campaigns and digital communication to amplify giving across the region.
Lead planning, delivery, performance and evaluation of major appeals and giving campaigns, ensuring they are compelling, community‑minded and meet performance targets.
Govern the Foundation’s Grants Program and communicate outcomes clearly to donors and stakeholders.
Strengthen CRM capability, data integrity and reporting, using insights to enhance donor journeys and strategic decision‑making.
Oversee campaign budgets, ROI analysis, transparent impact reporting and high‑quality administrative and governance processes.
Key Metrics
Donors feel valued, inspired and connected to the impact of their giving.
The community clearly understands how giving transforms care at Barwon Health.
Campaigns perform strongly, are on‑brand and resonate with supporters.
Impact reporting is trusted, transparent and tells the story of real outcomes.
Data informs decisions and strengthens donor journeys.
Cross‑functional teams collaborate effectively, aligned to the Foundation’s shared impact story.
Your Skills & Experience
Senior leadership experience in communications, marketing, donor/customer experience or related fields.
Outstanding storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to translate data and clinical insights into compelling narratives.
Experience in developing and implementing high‑performing campaigns is essential.
Proven ability to design exceptional donor or customer experiences and lead multi‑channel campaigns.
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, managing budgets and using data to drive strategy.
Relationship‑driven, organised, detail‑focused and values‑led.
